Glanmire Ladies was officially established in February 2000 by a dedicated group of volunteers including Barbara Buckley, Genevieve Garde, Angela Fitzgerald, Linda McElhinney, Roseanne O’Callaghan, Jenny Long and Brian Lotty.
The club began with humble beginnings, fielding just two teams in its first season: an Under 12 team and an Under 14 team. As interest in ladies’ football grew, so too did the club, with new teams being added year after year.
Today, Glanmire Ladies Football Club has grown into one of the largest clubs in the region, with approximately 430 members, 17 teams and more than 60 volunteer coaches.
We are incredibly proud of what has been built over the past 25 years. Our club is committed to providing a positive, inclusive environment where every player, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to develop, enjoy the game and be part of our community. At Glanmire Ladies Football Club, everyone gets the chance to play.
